Excerpt:
This installation unfolds as a sculptural self-portrait of the collective’s founders. It consists of three curved volumes suspended within a 12-meter-high atrium, mobilizing 13 kilometers of nylon threads in an abstract, geometric form.
Installed beneath the building’s only skylight, the work captures and diffracts the full spectrum of light, symbolizing the strength of connection and collective action in the face of gender inequalities. Influenced by the pioneers of Venezuelan kinetic art, it enters into dialogue with Jesús Rafael Soto’s Pénétrables and Gego’s Chorros, while exploring chromatic variations that echo the research of Carlos Cruz-Diez.
By weaving together these artistic lineages, the installation affirms a shared memory and opens a space for reflection on art, architecture, and social justice.
