Excerpt:

Pli Commune is a multidisciplinary performance in which four women artists working across textile, dance, and music collectively construct a monumental, living tapestry. Embroidery becomes choreography: gestures of stitching, folding, carrying, and weaving move between bodies, transforming an individual act into a shared physical language. Taking the Bayeux Tapestry as a historical point of departure, the work examines how monumental narratives transmit structures of power. Embroidery becomes a gesture of cultural and social repair, making visible the time, care, tension, and interdependence required to hold a collective structure together. Individual gestures gradually form a shared body, proposing the textile as a model for an inclusive social fabric.
