Art comissioning
Casco Antiguo, Panama
Cotton threads on wooden and glass refurbished door
2019
This sculpture is inspired by “Salsipuedes”, one of the main streets for Panamanian folklore, creating a formal dialogue between their past historical charge and their contemporary meaning. Highlignting the traces of the past, this work uses the identity of the city as raw material for creating a contemporary art piece that highlights the memory of Panama City.
This piece is product of the participation of Not Common Girls art collective, in the annual call to artist of the Association of Neighbors of the Historic District (AVACA), to make an intervention in reused windows saved from construction sites of the neighborhood.
